Strawberry Delight

Sliced strawberries

Topping:

1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. brown sugar,packed
1 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Filling:
1 pkg. frozen strawberries
2 egg whites
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 pt. whipping cream, whipped

Method:

Mix topping ingredients lightly and put in oblong pan; bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally, until golden brown. When brown, press half of mixture down in bottom of large cake pan, reserving half for spreading over top. Place strawberries, egg whites, sugar, lemon juice and vanilla in large mixing bowl. Using electric mixer, beat for 20 minutes. Fold in whipped cream. Pour into baking dish; top with crumbs and put in freezer overnight.
